CBSE Class 10 Maths

We mark your answer the way the board marks it.

Photograph the page you wrote on. We compare it against the CBSE marking scheme, step by step, and tell you which step lost the mark.

Two parts, 30 to 45 minutes each, on paper. Complete them in two sessions if you like. Free through the 2027 boards.

A real attempt, marked

Show that n² − 1 is divisible by 8 when n is odd.

1/3marks

What the student wrote
A handwritten attempt at the proof on ruled paper, assuming n is odd and then testing only the case n = 3.

Photographed on a phone, on ruled paper, working shown as written.

CBSE marking scheme · 3 marks
  1. +1mState the claim for a general odd n
  2. 0/1Write n = 2k + 1 and expand n² − 1 = 4k(k + 1)
  3. 0/1Argue k(k + 1) is even, so 8 divides n² − 1

This answer checks n = 3 only. A proof has to hold for every odd n. 2 marks are recoverable.

Every question on this page is quoted from a board paper with its year, set, and number. You can check any of them against the original.

Diagnostic

Two parts give the AI enough evidence to recommend what to practise next.

  1. Heights & Distances41/100

Two-triangle setups keep collapsing into one. Worth a full 5-marker.

  2. Trigonometric Identities58/100

Proofs start from the answer instead of one side. Marks leak in the middle steps.

  3. Trigonometric Ratios86/100

Solid. Standard angle values are automatic now.

Practice

Each step carries its own mark, so you can see where the answer broke.

If sin θ + cos θ = √3, find the value of sin θ cos θ.

  1. Squared both sides and used sin²θ + cos²θ = 1.+1m
  2. Stopped at 2 sin θ cos θ = 2. The asked value, sin θ cos θ = 1, was never stated.0/1m

Next drill: finishing the last line of an evaluation. 3 questions queued.

I always mess up the two-triangle tower questions. How do I set them up?

Set up both triangles before touching any numbers. For any two-position problem:

  1. One height h, two horizontal distances: x and x + d.+1m
  2. Write both ratios first: tan of each angle equals h over its own distance.+1m
  3. Then eliminate x. The setup earns marks before you solve anything.+1m

Practice order

What you practise first comes from eleven years of papers.

Each strip is one subtopic read across the 2016 to 2026 papers. A filled cell means the board asked it that year. Your own scores decide the rest of the order.

Shown here for Real Numbers. The same table exists for every chapter in the syllabus.

Questions.

Yes. You write on paper, photograph the page, and each step is marked against the official scheme. Rough work and crossed-out lines are fine; examiners see those too. Clear, well-lit photos work best, and if a page is unclear, you can retake it before grading. The attempt at the top of this page was read from a phone photo.

A two-part diagnostic gives the AI enough evidence to recommend what to fix next.
